“Tartan Workshops” (Scottish Style) – For Children

10:00-10:55, Saturday, Outside at Centrum Kultury Dworek Białoprądnicki.

Workshops offered by Poznajemy Świat (PL/ENG).

At our “Tartan Tales: A Scottish Experience” workshop, children will have the opportunity to:

  • Discover the richness of Scottish tartans and learn about their significance
  • Explore elements of Scottish attire, try on a kilt, sporran, and Scottish caps, and play the bagpipes
  • Learn about the Scottish tradition of eating porridge and taste Scottish shortbread
  • Meet the famous Scot Sherlock Holmes and solve a few detective mysteries

Discover Scottish sports and play mini-golf.

The workshop is led by Sherlock Holmes himself! He will unravel the mysteries of why Scots wear “skirts,” where the Loch Ness Monster came from, and many other puzzles. Children will try on a kilt, play the bagpipes, learn about Scottish golf, and taste Scottish shortbread.
