Coming from a family of Breton musicians, Rory Scammell partially rebelled; deciding to play Auvergnat music from the center of France instead. He then fell in love with renaissance and baroque music, and other traditions of the hurdy gurdy. On Saturday he will take you on a historical tour of the music of the hurdy gurdy, from the past to the modern day, where he combines synths and effects on his homemade synthgurdy.
