Saturday, September 5, 16:30 – Centrum Kultury Dworek Białoprądnicki.
Paddy de las Pampas and Lenka Fairy blend Celtic melodies with South American rhythms, creating a unique and energetic sound. Often compared to Kíla and The Pogues, the band is known for lively concerts and passionate fans.
Founded at The Gathering in 2013, Los Paddys began as a cultural exchange between musicians and dancers from Ireland and Argentina, later expanding to include members from France, South Africa, and beyond. Led by songwriter Paddy Mulcahy from Clare, the group features top traditional musicians Adam Shapiro and Kirsten Allstaff, a dynamic rhythm section with Liam O’Boyle and Angelo Heart, and South American influences from Ariel Concolino and Fernando Roa Brith.
Los Paddys’ performances are a multi-sensory experience, with Lenka Fairy’s Irish dance and Andrea Kafonková’s flamenco adding visual spectacle to the music. Both on stage and in the studio, Los Paddys continue to celebrate the global connections of Irish music.
